Saturday the 14th of January 2012 Robin de Raaff's orchestral work Tanglewood Tales will have it's world premiere in the Matinee series of the Concergebouw in Amsterdam. The Radio Filharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Jaap van Zweden.
The second movement of Tanglewood Tales was premiered separately as Entangled Tales by the Boston Symphony Orchestra as a commissioned work by the BSO for the Tanglewood Summer Festival of 2007, conducted by Ludovic Morlot.
Earlier this season, the first movement of Tanglewood Tales was separately premiered as Untangled Tales by the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, and went on a tour through Europe with conductor Lothar Zagrosek.
This will be the first time the two movements are performed together as one composition.
